The director of Britain’s Climatic Research Unit admitted that global warming stopped in 1995

The CRU director said that 15 years is not enough time for meaningful measurement of warming

In a 2010 interview with the BBC, Climatic Research Unit director Phil Jones said that temperature data do not show "statistically significant" warming since 1995. Critics claimed this meant he had "admitted" that warming stopped or is not occurring.

In fact, Jones stated in the interview he's "100% confident that the climate has warmed," but that 15 years is generally too short a time period to achieve statistically significant results. Jones added that statistical significance is "much more likely for longer periods."
