    TRUTH

U.S. diplomatic facilities were attacked at least 15 times from 1977-2008

On September 11, 2012, a group of militants attacked a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya. The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three others were killed in the attack. But that was not an unusual occurrence -- there have been more than a dozen attacks on U.S. embassies and consulates since 1979.

U.S. diplomatic facilities were attacked at least 15 times under the presidencies of Carter, Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Clinton, and George W. Bush. Seven of those attacks occurred during the presidency of George W. Bush.
